Design is not so unique.
The phone support fast charging but there is no fast charger on the box.
No 4K is there but the chipset actually support 4K video recording.
Video quality is not so good or I can say average.
Low light photography is pretty average.
Still using USB 2.0 in 2018.
Android Nougat 7.1.2 is there from the box, although you can update the phone in Oreo.
No dedicated MicroSd card slot.
Higher 6GB Ram model should have 128 GB Rom.

Oppo Realme 1 Pros

Pretty Good IPS display.

Back camera can really take very good pictures in day light.

Processor is very good & done well in gaming.

3410 mAh mAh battery & can easily survive for 1 day.

Build quality is not so good.

No 4K is there. Video quality is average.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro vs Oppo Realme 1 full Comparison

Build Quality

In this segment I would like to say Buid quality & design is always everyone's personal preference but for me the design of the Oppo Realme 1 is actually more attractive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro's design. But Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro's build quality is much better than the Oppo Realme 1 . I don't say that Oppo Realme 1 has a bad build quality but for me fiber glass material is not much durable & it is cheaper the aluminium.

Display

Both the phone has a very good IPS FHD+ Display & surprisingly both of them providing a great color contrast & saturation . So in this segment this is a tie.

Hardware & Software

In hardware section both of them have a really good powerful spec. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro has Qualcomm SDM636 Snapdragon 636 processor & Adreno 509 GPU.On the other hand Oppo Realme 1 has Mediatek MT6771 Helio P60 processor & Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. Actually the Mediatek P60 is a very powerful processor & done much better than the Qualcomm SDM636 Snapdragon 636 processor. In the gaming section both of them done very well & there was no heating issue. But because the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro has aluminium back, it slightly gets warm up. Now if anyone wants to buy one of this device for gaming then I would recommend Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro because the Snapdragon version chipset actually do good job in games optimization. It doesn't mean that the Oppo Realme 1 is bad in gaming, but Mediatek has always some problems with games optimization.

On the software department Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro comes with MIUI 9.0 based on Android Nougat 7.1.2 ( but the MIUI 10 & Oreo Update has Come out) & Oppo Realme 1 comes with ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo . Now if I compare MIUI & ColorOS than I have to say ColorOS is pretty top heavy than MIUI. Although both the UI done exceptionally well & day to day regular using you will not find any lag.

Security

In this segment the clear winner is Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro . Because Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro has the both fingerprint & Face Unlock. Although Oppo Realme 1 has really fast Face Unlock feature but still fingerprint is more secure than Face UNLOCK.

Audio Output

In this segment the clear winner is Oppo Realme 1.

Actually the Oppo Realme 1 has really good head phone audio output than any other device in this price range. So if you hear a lots of music than Oppo Realme 1 is the best option.

Camera & Video

In Camera section both the device has done very good job. Even though the Oppo Realme 1 has a single camera on the back but it can really take some great photo. For me Oppo Realme 1 some how provide more light on the picture than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro . Believe me both the phones back camera is capable of taking good pictures at day light in normal mode.

But now talk about the Portrait mode of the Back camera. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro has dual camera on the back & it can actually take great portrait photo .On the other hand Oppo Realme 1 has only single camera on the back but it can actually take portrait picture by software & it has the AI technology. But if I compare both of them than the portrait mode of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro has done better than the Oppo Realme 1 .

Now talk about the selfie shooter .

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro has 20 MP selfie camera with LED Flash & on the other hand Oppo Realme 1 has 8 MP camera with AI feature but no LED flash. Now if I compare them in normal mode than the clear winner is Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro. It actually has the best selfie camera in the mid price range. But the Oppo Realme 1 has also a very good selfie camera which can actually take good picture too. If you compare it with Redmi Y2/Honor 7c/Asus Max Pro M1 than it easily gonna beat them.

But now talk about the front camera portrait mode. In selfie portrait mode both the camera actually done really well. But frankly say the Oppo Realme 1 done slightly more good job than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro because of its AI technology.

The performance of both the phone front & back camera is pretty average in low light.

Now talk about the video quality. Both of the phone can only shoot 1080p at 30 fps. Both phone's video quality is also average & we are very unhappy that Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro is not came with 4K option although its chipset support 4K. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro also has the Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) so it will give more good performance. Oppo Realme 1 has no EIS on Video.

Storage

In storage option the clear winner is the Oppo Realme 1 because it has both 32/64/128 gb Rom option with the dedicated microSD Card slot. On the other hand the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro has only 64 gb ram with no dedicated microSD Card slot although you can use MicroSD card because the sim slot is hybrid but if you do than you have to loose a sim slot.

Battery Backup

The battery performance of both the device is good. But I have to say Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro is better because the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro has 4000 mAh massive battery & It can survive for at least 1 and half day & it also has Fast Charging option. On the other hand Oppo Realme 1 has Li-Ion 3410 mAh battery so it can only survive for 1 Day & it has no Fast Charging option.

So now you have to choose how much battery back up do you need.

Price

The most important part of the whole comparison is price. Now in India it is actually selling :

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro 4/64 GB Rom - 14000 Rupee & 6/64GB Rom - 17000 Rupee
Oppo Realme 1 3/32 GB Rom - 9000 Rupee , 4/64GB Rom - 11000 Rupee & 6/128 GB Rom - 14000 Rupee.

If I compare the price than Oppo Realme 1 really give an ideal deal with less price but than surely you have to sacrifice some features but if you have money & you want more feature than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 pro is a great deal.
